"Dreams are just illustrations, from the book your soul is writing about you."
Kia
ora and welcome.
Last Friday was ‘moving day’ at School. Each classroom had to relocate so that
the renovations could begin in Room 4.
Despite the weather, this move went very smoothly. Mrs Lorimer and Yr4-6
students are back in their freshly renovated classroom (Rm1). Ms Porter and
Yr1-3 students are back in Rm2. Ms Mansell and Yr1 students have been
temporarily relocated to Room 5.
Our heartfelt thanks to the following people for their muscles and assistance:
Messrs Ross Hamilton, John Dorizac, Cameron Mahuta, Alf Harwood, Duncan Harwood,
Bryce Finlayson, Rowan (the English Exchange Student working at Limestone Downs
at present), and Jody Trimble.
HEARTY FUN DAY
This Friday is ‘Hearty Fun Day’ across the country. We have been sent a fitness
‘Hearty Fun’ CD and will be exercising to this on Friday morning. The main idea
is to exercise to promote heart health. It is also a fundraiser for the Heart
Foundation.
We are asking for a gold coin donation for a coin trail which we will hold on
Friday.
BOOKS IN HOMES (DUFFY BOOKS)
This wonderful programme has been in existence for 15 years. Te Kohanga School
and their sponsors, the C. Alma Baker Trust (Limestone Downs) were one of the
first schools to take up this wonderful offer. Over the past 15 years our
students have been given many wonderful books to enjoy. Students from Te Kohanga
School have gone on to achieve in a variety of spheres.
Books in Homes have contacted me with a special request. They would like to
locate past students who have become achievers in their chosen field as young
adults between the ages of 18-30 years old. Please forward suggested names and
current contact details to the school office. Books in Homes would like to
contact them.
RIPPA RUGBY DAY, TUESDAY, 15 JUNE

the Counties Manukau Insurance and Liability cover.

We will be ordering the shirts shortly. If you wish to purchase uniform items,
please complete the return slip and send to school by Friday, 4 May.
